Hi, friend!
I am so glad you're here!
I have worked as an on-camera performance coach since 2008, helping people overcome their fears to market their work, businesses, and brands through video. I’ve worked with executives, performers, and students in hosting, interviewing through online platforms, and video marketing. I teach people how to overcome nervousness on camera, what to wear, where to look, and how to adjust on-camera habits that negatively affect the performance. My clients have gone on to confidently produce marketing videos for social media and their websites.
Let me show you how!
Meet Michelle
Television News Reporter/Anchor
I worked as a TV News Reporter and Anchor in San Francisco and other Northern California markets over an eleven-year period. As a general assignment reporter, I produced, shot, wrote, edited, and presented thousands of stories live for multiple newscasts. I use this experience to help my on-camera clients shoot dynamic videos to grow their audiences and customer base.
Actor/Host
I am a Screen Actors Guild member and have acted in two network television shows and several short films. I host corporate videos, employee training videos, online seminars, and online courses around on-camera performance. I use this experience to teach my clients how to harness their expertise and convert their passion into compelling marketing videos.
Marketing Director/Comm Professor
I have taught on-camera performance to hundreds of students, at four universities, over the past eleven years. Courses I built and deliver have been taught at San Francisco State University and now at the University of San Diego. I work with students on how to produce, write, and perform on-camera segments for broadcast. I also work with them on marketing and branding themselves through video on their websites, social media, blogs, and YouTube channels. I also serve as Marketing and Communications Director for the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of San Diego where I oversee marketing for 19 departments.
I have worked as a Career Services Manager, helping graduates write strong resumes and cover letters. I then guide them in effective interviewing through platforms like Zoom and Google Hangouts. I’ve built and cultivated relationships with graduates who have gone on to host news broadcasts, podcasts, radio shows and sideline television sports broadcasts. I have a Master of Arts Degree in Radio and Television.
Speaker
I speak to small groups and at large conferences around empowerment and finding the courage to conquer fears that hold us back. My keynote focuses on dropping the stories that tell us we can’t. Specifically, I challenge people to tap into the stories they tell themselves: I’m not educated enough, I’m not experienced enough, worthy enough, talented enough— to pursue my dreams. Through sharing how I moved through grief and away from the victim story I once told myself, I motivate my audience to believe, like I do today, that we are absolutely capable of making our dreams a reality.
Published Author
I am a published author with a book and dozens of pieces published on platforms like HuffPost Personal, Tiny Buddha, and Elephant Journal. My writing balances heavy topics with humor and includes everything from feeling foolish in yoga class, to moving through grief and trauma, belonging, world travel, and love. I have used my media training to publicize my book in live television broadcasts, podcasts, radio shows and in print. These are the skills I pass on to my on-camera performance students and clients.
